At MeowTown, we help connect shelter cats with their furr-ever families! Cuddle up with these adoptable cats, or simply watch them play in the comfortable cafe setting. We have delicious cookies that are baked in-house and a fun retail space filled with cat-themed items to round out the experience. We are proud to bring MeowTown to the community of Alton, Illinois!

We love what we do and it shows. MeowTown is partnered with the Metro East Humane Society in Edwardsville & Highland, IL to find homes for shelter cats and give back to the community of Alton, IL and the surrounding areas.
MeowTown is always searching for volunteers to take care of the cats and other tasks around the café! If you’re interested in interacting with the cats or visitors, we would love to hear from you.
MeowTown is partnered with the Metro East Humane Society to socialize and give shelter cats forever homes. We always want our cats to go to loving people– so if you know that's you– consider adopting your future feline from us.
The best way to ensure you get to spend time with our cats is to reserve ahead of time. Walk-ins are welcome if room is available.

MeowTown provides the community with a relaxing and fun place to visit and interact with cats. We know how happy it makes people to play with cats, and we are happy to do it. It's important to us to give these cats a loving environment where they can live until they find a home. If you happen to find a cat that you wish to adopt, you can start the process the same day, through our partnership with the Metro East Humane Society.
