Before opening on December 15th, 2023; MeowTown was an idea thought of by founders, Kristine and Marc Ressler, along with their daughter Lily, after a visit to another cat cafe. From then, the intention was to bring the same experience and awareness to the Metro-East region of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

MeowTown is a 501c3 nonprofit that exists for two reasons: to benefit cats and to benefit people. Nothing makes a person smile like spending time with friendly, cuddly cats. MeowTown shares with our community a place to interact with cats and enjoy a cookie or two. The cats at our café are also adoptable through the Metro East Humane Society, so if you fall in love with one of the cats, you can bring them home with you! Whether you want to stop in for a cuddle or you’re looking to adopt, you’ll certainly leave MeowTown with a smile on your face.
